My condolences to the family of my friend Shatoria Lundsford. Shatoria and I met at light of the world Christian church in Indianapolis Indiana and she was such a bright star. I learned so much from her and her giving spirit and good heart will always be with me. My memory is when we went to a bible conference together and I had nowhere to sleep no money to eat and she let me stay in her dorm and fed me until my check came through. I will always remember her grit and when she wanted to do it she did it. We did a 1/2 marathon in the rain on her birthday in 2019. She encouraged me more than she will ever know. I love you and miss you my friend. I know you are celebrating your birthday with the lord this year. I will have cake for us both. 🙏🏾Angelina Taylor
My condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the family. I pray the Lord give you peace and understanding. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Shatoria is with the Lord now
Dear family of Shatoria, Please accept my heartfelt condolences. May I share a little memory of working with her at Northwestern University in the Radio/TV/Film Department in Illinois. Shatoria is the kind of person you never forget. She was bursting with life and was such an intense hard worker. Her wit and determination to do well and have fun doing it affected all who worked with her. Her love of Beyoncé and her incredible memory for numbers were insatiable. She loved knowing and enforcing the rules. I remember the phone calls to check in with her mom. She spoke with so much love and pride about her family. I recall her talking about everyone she knew by name, even the conductors in the commuter trains. She was so chipper and friendly. She is greatly missed.
My condolences to Shatoria's family and friends. I knew Shatoria when she worked at Northwestern University. She was not only extremely good at her job, but also incredibly kind. Shatoria truly went out of her way to help us grad students feel comfortable and supported. She certainly left a lasting impression on everyone who met her. Evelyn
Sending my deepest condolences to your family. Shatoria always made me want to be a better big sister. It was clear to me how much she loved everyone in her family. I cannot fully express how much I will miss her. She made me want to be more compassionate and a better reader. It has been a blessing to grow a friendship with her in the past decade. I will work on being a gardener and keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.

Only knew Shatoria a short time. Her hunger to know and seek a closer walk with Jesus was very encouraging. Her willingness to share and be honest was an attribute that made hope in Jesus a daily quest of top priority. I don't think she realized how much she encouraged others. Rest in peace with our Savior until we meet again. My condolences to all who knew and loved her.
I knew Shatoria for only a few months, but she made an indelible impression. She was smart, funny, caring, curious, vulnerable and not afraid to ask hard questions. My favorite text exchange with her was about her name. I had looked up the meaning and found a description in the Urban Dictionary that I thought described Shatoria perfectly. https://www.urbandictionary.com/author.php?author=mickeylife. She texted that her mom made up her name, a combination of Shaun and Tory, and then confided "And I'm 90% sure I created the definition on urban dictionary when I was 19." I will remember her always. I was honored to be paired with Shatoria as her mentor, and yet I'm pretty sure I learned more from her than she ever could have for me. She had such deep thoughts and loved Jesus in a way others should emulate. Many lives were touched by Shatoria's sweet spirit. I will be praying for your family as you endure another loss too soon. Rest in Jesus, Shatoria. I'll miss you and look forward to catching up one day when we meet again. - Kelly Johnson, Indianapolis
