Benjamin Lee Brown, born October 5, 1942, in Gadsden County, Florida, passed away on November 8, 2025, at Manatee Memorial Hospital.
Benjamin was the son of the late Mr. Capers Brown and Mrs. Emma Brown. He attended the public schools of Gadsden County and later built a dedicated career working at Sarasota Memorial Hospital and with the United States Postal Service.
A longtime golf enthusiast, Benjamin spent many years traveling across the country to play the sport he loved and to visit family and friends. He was united in holy matrimony to the late Morrisene Morton Brown, and from this union one daughter, Kimberly Jones, was born. He later married Victoria Brown, and in his later years was joined in marriage to Camille Fields Brown, who also preceded him in death.
Benjamin leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Kim Jones; granddaughter, Tia Jones; grandson, James Jones, Jr.; three sisters, Judith Thomas, Sara Beard, and Lois Elder; his maternal aunt, Mariah Alford; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and stepchildren.
He will be remembered for his love of family, his steady work ethic, and the joy he found in the simple pleasures of lite.
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 6, 2025 from 1pm- 2:00pmm at Jones Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Lucille Blake Memorial Chapel located at 4005 N Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL 34234. Funeral arrangements by Jones Funeral Home.
