Charles Eubanks was born on October 1, 1940 to Estelle Eubanks and Leon Eubanks in St Augustine, Florida.
Charles received his formal education through the St. Augustine public school system, where he excelled in his studies. Charles later relocated to Brooklyn, New York at a young age to start his career. Charles embarked on a successful career as a track worker for the New York City Transit System from September 1983 until he retired July 2004.
Charles was, a cherished brother, uncle, and cousin. He enjoyed family reunions and congregating with his extended family and friends. Charles enjoyed football and listening to politics. Charles was full of laughter and he loved to tell everyone about measuring cups theory. Charles exhibited a perfect example of unconditional love. Charles loved and helped everyone around him, no matter what.
Charles was 84 when he peaceful entered eternal life on September 19,2025, Charles leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories, but he will especially be remembered for his generosity. His eagerness to give was a symbol of his love. There are countless people who felt this love and benefited from his generous nature.
Charles is preceded in death by his loving father, Leon Eubanks, mother, Estelle Eubanks, beloved sisters, Edna, Cuter, Catherine, Leonia, and brothers, Solomon, Thomas, and James. Charles is survived by his brother Joe Eubanks; his sister, Carole Eubanks Mitchell (Bernard) and his special great-niece, Antoinette Bannerman. He is survived by his nieces and nephews: Barbara Jean, Beverly, Cheryl, Johnnie, Renee, Keith, and Charles Mays (Chuck), along with a host of cousins and other family members. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held from 12:00pm-1:00pm on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Bethlehem Bible Church. Services will began at 1:00pm on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Bethlehem Bible Church located at 1680 18th St, Sarasota, FL 34234. Burial will be held at Palms Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements by Jones Funeral Home.
