Clifford “Tip” Mann, 67, of Sarasota, Florida, peacefully passed away on April 22, 2025. Born on September 9, 1957, at St. Vincent Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama, Clifford moved to Sarasota with his family as a child, where he would grow roots and make a lasting impact on his community.
Clifford was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Lula Mae Mann and Albert Mann; his brother, Michael Mann; brother-in-law Joseph “OJ” Fleetwood; nephew Michael D. Mann; and many loved ones who now welcome him in peace.
He is survived by his devoted sister, Ophelia Dejerinett Fleetwood; brothers Tyrone Mann Sr., Joseph Mann (Jaqueline); sister-in-law, Cora Mann of Miami, FL. He also leaves behind special cousins Georgia Larry, Linda Ayers, and Tanya Thompson (Isaac) of Los Angeles, California; niece, Gwendalyn Fleetwood; nephews, Tyrone Mann Jr. (Tae Robinson), Joseph Fleetwood; a host of cherished grandnieces and grandnephews: Nariyah Jones, Kaitlyn Presha, Ty’Anna Mann, Jaylen Hill (Mileea), JaMichael Hill, TySean Mann, Chance Fleetwood, and great-grandnephew Ty’Jay (T-2) Mann.
Clifford shared a close and enduring friendship with Felicia Scurry of Sarasota. And a God daughter Nazariya NaNa Hale, he was loved by a host of relatives and friends whose lives he touched with kindness, strength, and a quiet dignity.
Clifford “Tip” Mann will be remembered for his loyalty, work ethic, loving spirit, and deep ties to family and community. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held from 6:00pm-8:00pm on Wed., May 7, 2025 at Jones Funeral Home. Services will be held 10:00am on May 8, 2025 at Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. The committal services will be held 12:30pm on May 8, 2025 at Sarasota National Cemetery. Funeral arrangements by Jones Funeral Home.
