Essie Burton, 78, of Sarasota, FL passed away May 17, 2026. Visitation will be held from 6:00pm-8:00pm on Friday, May 29, 2026 at Jones Funeral Home. Services and burial will be held 11:00am on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at Galilee Cemetery. Funeral arrangements by Jones Funeral Home.
She leaves a legacy of love with: her children, Michelle Hubbard, Angela Knight, Christopher Phillips; Grandchildren, Latisha Brown-Johnson (Horace Johnson), Latoya Knight, Charmaine Wheeler (Tommie Wheeler Jr.), Bernard Knight, Mario Charles, Christopher Phillips Jr. Shamini Phillips, Anthony Philips, Jayla & Jalawnna Phillips; and a host of great grand children, great great grandchildren, great nieces, great nephews and great-great nieces, nephews.
