Helen Clark, 92, of Sarasota, FL, passed away on Mar. 27, 2022. Visitation will be held from 6:00pm-8:00pm on Fri., Apr. 8, 2022 at Truvine Missionary Baptist Church. Services will be held 10:00am on Apr. 9, 2022 at Truvine Missionary Baptist Church. Entombment will be held at Palms Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements by Jones Funeral Home.
Helen was born in Taylorville, Georgia and moved to Sarasota, Florida in 1949, coming from Gaston, Alabama. She was co-owner of Orange Avenue Grocery Store and was on the Board of Directors at J.H. Floyd Nursing Home.
Helen is preceded in death by her son, Robert Clark.
Helen leaves to cherish her memories: husband, Lee Clark; daughters, Neta Houston (Jerome), Beverly Andrews (Lem) and Kathy Ansley (Mark); sons, Carl Clark (Evelyn), Levi Clark (Belinda), and Gary Clark (Artrese); sister, Ruby Byrd; 16 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Charlene Clark; Goddaughters, Vanessa Dubose and Stephanie Thomas.

As a kid I remember the green wooden building on Orange avenue miss Helen and Mr Lee ran it for years they had the best oatmeal cookies 2 for a nickel I remember that rest in peace Miss Helen.
She was such a big part of my life for years and I will never forget those times we shared, along with our conversations. She has held and will always hold a special place in my mind and heart! May God comfort you all. Love to you all.
