Patricia Ann Tyson St. Vil was born March 25, 1951 to Mrs. Ethel Byrd and Mr. Alfred Tyson in Miami, FL. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, one sister and one brother. On May 7, 2025 she departed the land of Some More and went to the land of No More.
She leaves to mourn her passing, her only child, Ryan Tyson, and 2 granddaughters, Natalie and Nicole, and 4 great grandchildren, her sister Deborah Grant, her brothers, Mark E. Tyson, Allen B. Tyson, Donald Tyson, and Dr. Alvin Tyson, Pastor Shiloh P.B. Church, 2 Goddaughters, Artavia Parrish-Wade, and Tammy Bolton. A host of cousins, nieces, and nephews, with Ariel Tyson, Mark Tyson Jr., and Marlon Tyson being the closest in geographical proximity, also a host of friends, colleagues, and church family.
Patricia was a graduate of Riverview High School, and a longtime employee of Jackson-Memorial Hospital until she retired. She was also a longtime member of New Jerusalem Primitive Baptist Church, Miami, Florida where she served as a minister under the leadership of Pastor Kenneth Dukes until she relocated to live with her son. She grew up in Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church where she served as the secretary of the church school for many years and returned to be under the leadership of her brother, Dr. Alvin Tyson. She was also an avid student of Logos Bible College and Seminary where she was working on an Associate in Biblical Studies Degree. She will be sorely missed, but to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
