Roslyn E. Townsend (Pookie), 63, of Sarasota, FL, passed away on Mar. 20, 2024. Visitation will be held from 6:00pm-8:00pm on Fri., Mar. 29, 2024 at Jones Funeral Home. Services will be held 11:00am on Sat., Mar. 30, 2024 at Light of the World International Church. Funeral arrangements by Jones Funeral Home.
Roslyn leaves behind to cherish her memories: her children, Shavhese (Tori) Green, Laterica (Lance) Barton, Jekari (Rachele) Townsend, and devoted niece, Cheraina (Reggie) Williams, of Sarasota, FL; her mother, Lorraine Williams; siblings, Erenia (Gary) Rivers, Larry Townsend, Mark Townsend, Bobby (Lisa) Williams, Vonshay (Wallace) Chirinos, and Sharay (Mark) Verran of Sarasota, FL. Her grandchildren, Sh'terrion Richardson, Mahlik Mills, Lantz Barton, Jaida Townsend, Amiya Barton, Alaya Barton, and Karissa Townsend of Sarasota, FL, as well as a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

I grew up with Pookie and her siblings as a child since I was 4 or 5 years old until I was 15 or 16 years old. Every Single weekend I would stay over Aunt Lorraine and Uncle Eddie's house. My cousins and I would climb trees, play in the back yard, roam around Newtown Estates on our bikes, go to Church on Sundays, eat family dinners together and do it all over ago the next weekend.
You will be missed cuz! Rest in Heaven... π
