Torrence “Bugsy / T-Real” White was born on October 31, 1979, at Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Sarasota, Florida, to the late Robert White and Margaret White. On December 18, 2025, God gently called Torrence from labor to reward, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love, selflessness, and devotion to family.
Torrence was educated in Sarasota and graduated from Riverview High School. Affectionately known as “Bugsy” and “T-Real,” he was always smiling, laughing, speaking his mind, and keeping it real. His presence brought warmth, honesty, and joy to those around him.
A man of faith and a lover of God, Torrence lived his life guided by compassion and service. He was deeply selfless and dedicated much of his life to caring for his family, especially his nieces and nephews. Torrence also faithfully cared for his mother until the time came when she needed to care for him. His heart for family knew no limits.
Torrence had a special love for dogs and found great joy in having multiple companions. He leaves behind his beloved dogs, Gypsy Rose and Blaze, who remain in mourning.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert White; brothers, Ronald E. Bryant and James Arnett; and sisters, Carol Wilson and Cynthia Claridy (Ben).
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Margaret White; brothers, Wheelock Minns White and Robert C. White (Precilla); sisters, Connie Wilson (Joe), Cheryl Shaw, and Nyesha Williams; a beloved nephew whom he loved like a son, Justice Wilson; his God-sister, Danielle; maternal aunt and uncle, Maudie Nealy and Henry “Ben” Green, both of Quincy; paternal aunts, Julia White McIntosh (Sarasota), Betty Jean Holiday (Virginia), Wessie Mae Hall (Cairo, GA), and Virginia Thomas (Cairo, GA). God Child, Marveah Storey; Best friends, Janique Duncan, Kiarre Mitchell, and Ronesha McKenzie and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Though Torrence has answered the Master’s call, his laughter, love, and unwavering devotion will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
