Alice Mae Pilgrim
Mrs. Alice Mae Pilgrim was born on October 11, 1954 in Peach County, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Mr. William Lee Lanier and Mrs. Clara Childs.
After finishing two years of college Alice joined the United States Air Force to serve her country, and met Lewis Edward Pilgrim, Jr. of Spartanburg, SC in 1983. Alice and Lewis married in 1984.
A true woman of God, Alice had great pride and passion for family, children, gardening, music, cooking and sitting in her rocking chair. She had a beautiful spirit and made everyone feel welcomed.
Alice was a faithful employee of the Spartanburg County Sheriff Department for five years.
Left to cherish her memories are: her husband of thirty-six years, Mr. Lewis Edward Pilgrim, Jr.; her two daughters, Ms. Ashley Simone Pilgrim and Ms. Alexandrina Nicole Pilgrim; her brothers, Mr. Carl Rumph of Georgia, Mr. Victor Lanier, Mr. Anthony Lanier, and Mr. Darryl Lanier of Seattle; her sisters, Mrs. Vanessa Hill, Ms. Cynthia Lindsey, Mrs. Marie Adams-Cliett of Georgia, Ms. Gwen Robinson, Ms. Jacqualine Lanier, and Mrs. Celestine Lanier-McClary of Seattle; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
