Obituary For Alphonso Dawkins
Alphonso H. Dawkins entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 21, 2022. He was born on May 6, 1963.
Survivors include: sisters, Shelia Dawkins, Mary (Grant) Thompson and Kimberly Wade; brother, Jonathan Clarke; niece ,Deja Dawkins; wife, Andrea Denise Dawkins; grandson, Eric McClain; son, Tony McClain; and sisters-in-law, Mary Robinson and Lisa Pearson.
He was preceded in death by: mother, Margie Letmon Dawkins Young; father, Charles E. Dawkins, Sr.; father, Eugene 'Poochie' Thompson; brother, Charles E.Dawkins, Jr.; sister, Margie (Rene) Dawkins; and grandson, Dantanio Lamont McClain, Jr.
Services will be held on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel, 602 Howard St., Spartanburg, SC. Interment will be in the Cemetery St. Cemetery, Cemetery St., Spartanburg, SC.
The family will be receiving friends at the home of his mother in-law, Allene McClain, 740 Union St., Apt. 19, Spartanburg, SC and at the home of his sisters, Mary (Grant) Thompson and Shelia Dawkins, 320 Spruce St.,Apt. 11, Building A, Spartanburg, SC.
