Obituary For Annie Ross

Spartanburg, SC - Annie Ruth Ross, 86 entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 23, 2016. Mrs. Ross was the daughter of the late Monzon and Martha Ann Cheeks. She was the wife of the late James Ross. Annie attended Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: her two sons, Thomas Ross Cheeks and Kennedy Dale Ross (Debra); her six daughters, Mary Wimbush, Myrtle Benson (Charlie), Jackie Ross, Rayshone Haynes (Larry), Debra Bushe’e (Aden) and Joyce Ofori (Edward); her nephew, Tyrone Rice; her grandson, David Earl Cheeks reared in the home; her beloved sister, Mrs. Clairese Brewton; a special granddaughter, Angela Austin. Annie Ruth was preceded in death by three sons, Donnie Ross, Willie Mac Ross and Jesse James Ross; two daughters, Martha Ann Ross and Peggy Jo Cheeks; six brothers, John Robert, TB, Willie, Amos, JW, and Julius; four sisters: Sarah, Ethel Lee, Pearl, Addie Lou. A Celebration of the Life of Annie Ruth Ross will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel, 602 Howard St., Spartanburg, SC. The Reverend Dennis Rector will officiate. Interment will be in the Lincoln Memorial Gardens, 2310 Cannons Campground Rd., Drayton, SC.
