Annie Ruth Glover (born October 31st, 1935) entered into eternal rest on November 1st 2025. She was the daughter of the late Ben and Bertha Frazier. She was one of 12 children from this union.
Annie Ruth Glover attended Carver High School in Spartanburg, South Carolina. She was a basketball player for Carver in 1951 - 1952 and was a student of the last graduating class of Carver High School before integration into Spartan High in 1970.
Annie Ruth was a member of the social club "The Pairs of Pleasure". She joined in the mid 1960s and served as a member until the mid 1980s. As a member she enjoyed attending social events, preparing food, and the fellowship amongst the women in the organization.
Annie Ruth went on to work for S&S Manufacturing in 1972 and was employed with the company for 26 years before retiring in 1996.
In January of 1980 Annie Ruth Frazier married Hardon George Glover and they would go on to spend 41 years of their lives together until his passing in 2021.
Annie Ruth was a member of Mount Moriah Baptist Church. She attended faithfully since 1983. Annie Ruth loved the Lord! She enjoyed listening to the sermons of Dr. Benjamin D Snoddy & Dr. Larry T Crudup. Once her health started to decline she still attended the church through the streaming service that is provided on Sundays and the mobile communion service.
Out of all the things she loved to do, spending time with her family was her most enjoyable activity. Annie Ruth had Sunday dinner with her children faithfully for decades. She hosted a bible study for her sisters, nieces, and her cousins. She enjoyed meetings with her family to plan holidays, family reunions, and other functions.
Left to cherish fond and loving memories are her children: a son, a daughter and their spouses; Rudolph Frazier (Cheryl) & Jennifer Smith Gault (Lawrence Kendall); her sister, Jo Ann Frazier; 3 grandchildren and their partners; Kelly Ann Frazier (Marcus Williamson), Rudolph Frazier Jr & Kendall Rashad Gault; 3 great grandchildren; Marko Williamson, Karley Williamson and Markel Williamson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many others.
In addition to her parents and husband, Annie Ruth was predeceased in death by 10 siblings; Ella Frazier Sims, Pearlie Frazier Shelton, Ida Mae Frazier Robinson, Addie Frazier Littlejohn, Dorothy Mae Frazier Turner, Willie Rosena Fleming, Frances Earl Frazier Reid, Benjamin Frazier Jr, Josh Frazier & Eddy Frazier,
A Celebration of the Life of Annie Ruth Glover will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Moriah Baptist Church, Spartanburg, SC. Burial will follow in the Lincoln Memorial Gardens, Drayton, SC.
