Deacon Arthur Lee Barrett, Jr. passed April 24, 2025.
Funeral Services for Deacon Arthur Barrett, Jr. will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at the Pacolet River Association Building, 168 Lovers Lane Road, Union, SC. Pastor James A. Calhoun, officiating and Reverend Terry Norman, Presiding. Interment will be in the Union Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Union, SC.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at Corinth Baptist Church.
The family is receiving guests at the home from 3:00p.m. - 8:00 p.m. daily.

Stand Still Jordan and let a child of God come home. For the battle has been fought and the victory has been won. Deacon Arthur Barrett was a man of great faith, who fought his illness with courage and grace. His loss leaves an enormous void in the Cornith Church family and community at large. We don't grieve his loss but rejoice that he lived a life of integrity, faith and service. He is at rest now in "Beulah Land"

To the Barrett family, Arthur will be missed at the 1967 Class Reunion get togethers but most of all, hearing those wonderful spirituals he always provided that touched each of our hearts! He's now singing with the angels.

We are greatly saddened by Arthur's passing. He worked with my wife on the Sims High project and we became friends at the Y. He was greatly liked and respected in the community, and will be greatly missed. Thank God that we all have had an opportunity to know him. He touched peoples hearts where ever he went.
