Barney James Young, 82, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 2, 2016. Mr. Young was the son of the late Ben H. Young and Versie Scruggs Young. He retired from Chesnee Mills. Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: his sisters, Lucille Mayes, Fannie Burgess and Lola Linder all od Chesnee, SC; his brothers, Ben Young, Jr. and Dewitt young both of Chesnee, SC; and a host of relatives and friends. Barney was preceded in death by two brothers, Fred Young and Sterling Young. A Celebration of the Life of Barney James Young will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Gethsemane Baptist Church, 404 Richland St., Chesnee, SC. Reverend Ronnie Miller will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home of his sister, Lola Y. Linder, 802 Redline Avenue, Chesnee, SC.
