He lived a life defined by faith, hard work, devotion to family, and unwavering love for those closest to him.
On February 20, 2026, he peacefully transitioned from this earthly life and returned to be with Jesus, leaving behind a legacy of strength, guidance, and enduring love.
Beautford, was united in holy matrimony to the love of his life, Gloria Morrow Keenon, on August 1, 1962.
Their marriage stood as a beautiful example of commitment and partnership for many years. He often
expressed that his wife was always number one in his life, and one of his greatest joys was simply making her smile.
Beautford was a proud veteran, who served his country in the United States Army as a Paratrooper, holding the rank of Private First Class. He entered military service on May 4, 1962, and was honorably discharged on May 17, 1964. During his service, he earned the National Defense Service Medal and the Parachutist Badge, reflecting his courage, discipline, and dedication.
Following his military service, Beautford devoted himself to his craft as a skilled brick mason.
He later established his own business, Keenon Masonry, helping build and shape his community through hishands and hard work. He took pride in honest labor and believed strongly in providing for his family.
A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ, Beautford found peace and guidance through his faith. Heloved reading his Bible and lived by the principles of prayer, unity, and love for one another. His faithremained a steady foundation throughout his life.
Outside of work, Beautford found joy in simple but meaningful moments. He loved working in his yard, caring for his flowers, and spending time outdoors. One of his favorite pastimes was playing golf on the miniature golf course he proudly built in his own yard alongside his eldest son, Stephan.
Above all, Beautford cherished his family. He believed deeply in education, encouraged younger generations to stay in school and remain grounded in faith, and constantly reminded his loved ones to pray, stay together, and love one another. In his own words, he shared that he “enjoyed his life with my wife and family,” a simple statement that perfectly captured the heart of who he was.
Mr. Keenon’s life was one of preparation, quiet leadership, and deep devotion. Even in his final wishes, his thoughts remained centered on the well-being and unity of his family. His legacy will live on through the lessons he taught, the love he shared, and the faith he carried throughout his life.
He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Gloria M. Keenon, along with his loving family, including children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will
forever carry his memory in their hearts.
He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 12:00 noon at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel, Spartanburg, SC. Burial will be in the Heritage Memorial Gardens.
