Without a doubt some of my fondest memories during my 20 years at DSOC was going to Carver and being lucky enough to be in the same room with Birdie and Willa Powers. No one that ever made a living as a comic had anything on those two. Until we meet again and thank you, Birdie, for being you. You brought a smile to my face every time I saw you. Ms Dunlap served the Carver Junior High School family in a mighty way by scheduling students in their classes. In the beginning the task was very uncomfortable. However, her diligence and hard work allowed her to overcome her obstacles and she became adept at scheduling. Birdie was very instrumental in the success of Carver during the years of 2000-2007. Her principal, faculty, parents and students benefitted greatly from her dedicated service. Charles E. Redmond sends his sympathy and appreciation to the family.
Sorry for your loss may God heal the broken Heart
