Ms. Porter attended Carver High School in Spartanburg, South Carolina in 1959 and retired from Union Camp Corporation. She also worked at Carolina Cash Company for several years. It was there she was blessed to meet and form lifelong relationships with many people.

I am deeply sorry to hear of Carolyn's passing. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. Many years has past us by but I had the pleasure of meeting Carolyn, Ann and Sheila at what used to be Spartanburg Convalescent Nursing Home. Carolyn trained me when I first started there. She was so kind and loving. I will never forget her. I pray God's comfort and strength for her family today and forevermore. Death is not a dead end but a doorway from earth to heaven....Mona
Expressing Our Condolences The Underwood & Winn Family
I had the pleasure of meeting Carolyn along with Ann and Shelia at what used to be Spartanburg Convalescent. Her and her sisters taught us what it means to be a "real" CNA. She worked hard but always took the time to be kind to us. Carolyn was beautiful inside and out and was always proud of her sons and spoke of them often. Sending condolences to all her family. Until we meet in Heaven my friend!!
