SPARTANBURG, SC-- Mrs. Clara Lindsey, 81, of 408 East Hampton Ave., entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at the Magnolia Manor Nursing Home. Mrs. Lindsey was the daughter of the late Mr. Robert Level and Mrs. Mabel Littlejohn Level. She was a native of Spartanburg County. She was a member of the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a member of the senior choir.Survivors include two sons, Mr. Thomas Lindsey, Jr. of Florida and Mr. Johnny Lindsey of Asheville, NC; three daughters, Ms. Beverly Lawrence of Blythewood, SC, Ms. Thomasenia Hughes of Spartanburg, SC, and Mrs. Wanda (Robert) Alexander of Spartanburg, SC; three brothers, Mr. Robert Level, Jr. of Atlanta, GA, Mr. Boyce Level of Hollywood, FL, Mr. Douglas Level of Douglasville, GA; a sister, Roberta Williams of Chicago, IL; nineteen grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren. A brother preceded her in death, Mr. Rayfield Level.Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 2, 2012, at 3:00 pm at the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. Dr. M. Keith McDaniel will officiate. Burial will be in the Lincoln Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Ms. Thomasenia Hughes, at 408 East Hampton Ave.J.W.
