Obituary for Clyde Rice

Clyde Rice  Clyde 'Shake' Rice gained his wings on November 5, 2017. Mr. Rice was born April 29, 1932 to the late Theodore 'Teddy' and Marie Rice.  Clyde was preceded in death by: his five sisters, Floree Henderson, Vigie Giger, Ethel Mae Peeler, Ella Hemphill and Charlene Rice; his three brothers, Theodore Jr., Dennis, and Johnny Rice; his grandson, Dennis Taylor.  Mr. Rice served on the U. S. Army for many years. He retired from Woodland Heights Elementary School.  Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: his wife, Elizabeth Taylor D. Rice; his children, Clyde (Sherri) Taylor, Jr. of Dayton, OH, Johni Rice, Pete Porter and Brandon Farr all of Pacolet, SC, Olga 'Becky' Rice and Chakalett Rice both of Spartanburg, SC; his twenty-two grandchildren; his many great-grandchildren; his special family friend and caregiver, Nikki Allen; and a host of nieces, nephews and family.  A Celebration of the Life of Clyde 'Shake' Rice will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Montgomery Chapel Baptist Church, 835 Sunny Acres Rd., Pacolet, SC.
