Obituary For Damarcus Porter, Sr.
Damarcus Alexander Porter,Sr. entered into eternal rest on March 9, 2025. He was born on March 26, 1979 to the late Matthew Alexander and Miriam C. Porter.
He was preceded in death by: his father, Matthew Alexander; his sister, Timeka Nicole Porter; grandparents, William and Ethel Peeler;grandfather, Matthew Anderson; and grandmother, Peggy Tolliver.
Marcus was a loving father, caring brother, adoring uncle, loyal friend and wonderful son, who loved his family and friends.
He graduated from Spartanburg High School, Class of 1997. Marcus attended Benedict College and was a member of the U.S. Marine Corps in 1998. He was an employee of DP World and FedEx.
Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: his mother, Miriam C. Porter of Spartanburg, SC; his sons, Keilan Brayboy of Duncan, SC and Damarcus Alexander Porter, Jr. of the home; his spouse, Tennico Scott of the home; his sister, Shatosha Porter of Spartanburg, SC; his sister-in-law, Ambrea Scott of Atlanta, GA; his brother-in-law, Aubrea Scott of Spartanburg, SC; mother-in-law,Tondra Scott of Spartanburg, SC;father-in-law, Robert Scott of Wellford, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, March 16, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, Spartanburg, SC.
