Doris A. Young went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 6, 2018. Mrs. Young was the daughter of the late Eloise Jones and Alvin Dawkins. She was the devoted wife of Allen Young. Mrs. Young was a member of Majority Baptist Church. She loved cooking, baking and gardening. Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: her children, Donna A. Cross (Calvin Weaver), Raymond Cross, Jr. (Bertha) and Rodrick Cross; her siblings, Patricia Gail Jones, Larry Jones (Shirley), Garfield Dawkins (Shirley), Columbus Goode (Mozola) and Tommey Goode (Pearline); her eight grandchildren, Shannon Rice-Ouk, Kieara Cross, Kieya Cross, Calvin Weaver, Jr., Kayela Clark, MaCalah Weaver, Cameron Cross, Caylie Cross; her three great-grandchildren, Genevieve Ouk, Analise Figueroa-Weaver, Ke'Niyla Cross-Hunter. She preceded in death by a sister, Catherine Dawkins. A Celebration of the Life of Doris Ann Young will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 12:00 noon at Majority Baptist Church, 400 Hudson L. Barksdale Blvd., Spartanburg, SC. Rev. Dr. Marcell D. Bush will officiate. Burial will be in the Heritage Memorial Gardens, 3901 S. Church St., Roebuck, SC. J. W. Woodward Funeral Home
