Obituary For Edith F. Martin

Spartanburg, SC – Edith F. Martin, 79, entered into eternal rest on August 4, 2018. She was the wife of the late Mr. Ralph Martin. Edith was a devoted member of the Foster’s Grove Baptist Church where she served actively in the Pastor’s Aid Ministry, Sister’s Keeper, Sympathy Club, Missionary Group, and the Vision Choir. Edith was employed with Hearst Fibers for twelve years. She retired from Michelin Tire Company after seventeen years of service. Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: her son, Michael (Sandra) Martin of Chesnee, SC; her three grandchildren, Michael McMillian of Inman, SC, Muhasula (Andrew) Bobb of Inman, SC and Marionette “Regina” Stewart of Charlotte, NC; her three great-grandchildren, Ke’Marley Bobb, Kensley Bobb and Michael McMillian, Jr.; her brother, Arthur Lee Smith of Philadelphia, PA; and a host of nieces and nephews. Edith was preceded in death by seven brothers, Charles Smith, Hollace Smith, L. C. Smith, Sylvester Smith, Larry Smith, Roger Smith and Curtis Smith. A Celebration of Life for Edith F. Martin will be held on Friday August 10, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Foster’s Grove Baptist Church, 899 Foster Grove Rd., Chesnee, SC. Rev. Horace Wilson, Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. J. W. Woodward Funeral Home
