Obituary For Eleanor Woodward

SPARTANBURG, SC-

Mrs. Eleanor “Mrs. Ellie” Mentall Woodward, 94, peacefully entered rest on Monday, April 20, 2026.

Mrs. Woodward was the widow of Walter C. Woodward. “Ellie” was the daughter of the late Eleanor and Ruell Mental. “Mrs. Ellie” was their last surviving child.

Ellie was predeceased by her sons, Ronnie and Nicholas; her granddaughter, LaKasha; and her son-in-law, Richard Woodruff.

“Mrs. Ellie” retired from service as an Executive Assistant with R.R. Donnelly and Sons. After her
retirement from Donnelly,she faithfully served as a cherished associate with the J. W. Woodward
Funeral Home for 10 years.

Mrs. Woodward is survived by cherished loved ones: her children, Walda Woodward Woodruff, Calista Doris Woodward (Reggie) Fowler and Anzer Penn;
her grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren and additional cherished relatives and friends.

The family will receive visitors at: 515 Howard Street
Apartment 184, Spartanburg, SC 29303 (Entrance on Raindrop St.) Thursday (April 23rd) and Friday (April 24th) from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. and Saturday (April 25th)
from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.
