Obituary For Elizabeth Harris

Elizabeth “Tot” Harris peacefully entered rest at her home on May 7, 2022. Elizabeth “Tot” Miller-Harris was born on May 14, 1931, to the late Mr. Bobby Lee Miller and the late Mrs. Sarah Lee Harris-Miller. She entered eternal on May 7, 2022. Elizabeth “Tot” grew up in Spartanburg, SC all her life where she currently resided prior to her departure. She worked all her life helping others, whether it was caretaking, cleaning, encouraging, or teaching all of grandchildren’s the word of God. “Tot” was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother of 5 generations. Left to cherish is her love and legacy, 4 daughters all of Spartanburg, SC; Sarah “Jeek” Abney, Isabell (Robert) Robbs, Jannie (BJ) Addison, and Peggy (James) Harris, 1 son, Steve (Nacshell) Harris of Buford, GA; and 1 adopted daughter Shirley (Charlie) Anderson of Spartanburg, SC, 1 sister Mary Foster of Spartanburg, SC, 1 Sister-in-Law, Sherrie Miller of Spartanburg, SC, thirteen (13) grandchildren; twenty-four (24) great grandchildren; twenty-nine (29) great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephew’s relatives and friends. She was proceeded in death by her husband of 70+ years, Mr. Willie C. Harris, 2 children, Willie C. Harris Jr. and Hattie Harris, and 7 siblings. Elizabeth was an active member of Lower Shady Grove Baptist Church all her adult life where she served as a member of the Senior Choir and Nurses Ministry. She took care of her husband and daughter until they died. She helped in their care with love, kindness and patience. She often enjoyed spending time with all of her family, but especially her favorite “Teddy Bear”, who lived in the home with her. She also loved to give those words of encouragement and inspiring them. She was a woman of strength who believed in her God and stood on His promises. She was a woman of Faith, dedication, passion and filled with the word of God with a very humble spirit. She was a motivator and an encourager, a protector, like a “bodyguard” for her children and grandchildren. She was a Christian lady who shared her love and joy with all who would listen. A Celebration of the Life of Elizabeth “Tot” Miller-Harris will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. at Lower Shady Grove Baptist Church, 1552 Switzer Green Pond, Woodruff, SC, 29388. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive family and friends at the home, 392 Vanderbilt Road, Spartanburg, SC, 29301
