Pauline, SC – Eugene Robinson, Sr., 84, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 20, 2015. He was the son of the late Mr. John H. Robinson and Mrs. Gertrude Jones Robinson. Eugene was the widower of Mrs. Betty Dorris Johnson Robinson; he was a native of Spartanburg, SC. Mr. Robinson was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. He leaves to cherish fond and loving memories to: his children, Elizabeth (James) Belser of Stockbridge, Ga., Eugene J. (Glenda) Robinson of Roebuck, SC, Ira (Douglas) Smith of Moore, SC and John Robinson of Pauline, SC; his brothers, Jessie (Doris) Robinson, Reverend J.B. (Mary Alice) Robinson; his sister, Florine Means; his grandchildren, Kevin Branson, Tracy Branson, Tiffany Robinson, Christopher Belser and Briana Robinson; his great-grandchildren, Glendnya Branson and Tra'nya Branson; and a host of other dear relatives and friends. A Celebration of the Life of Eugene Robinson, Sr. will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel, 602 Howard St., Spartanburg, SC 29303. Reverend Richard L. Sandler will officiate. Interment will be held in the Heritage Memorial Gardens, 3901 S. Church St., Roebuck, SC 29376.
