Obituary For Felton Walker, Sr.

STARTEX, SC-- Felton Walker, Sr., 90, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Thursday, February 25, 2016. Mr. Walker was the son of the late Luther Walker, Sr. and Willie Mae Bailey. He was the widower of Louise Bivings Walker. Felton was a member of Mayfield Chapel Baptist Church. Mr. Walker retired from Startex Mills after forty years of service. Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: his sons, Wilson Walker of Spartanburg, SC, Sterling Walker of Startex, SC, Wilbur (Carolyn) Walker of Wellford, SC, Calvin Walker of Lyman, SC and Albert Walker of Startex, SC; his daughters, Cindy W. Jacobs of Spartanburg, SC, Mildred (Sammie) Hargrove and Margaret (Willie) Braggs both of Detroit, MI; his brother, Howard (Barbara) Walker of Columbia, SC; his sisters, Elizabeth Sims of Wellford, SC, Ethel Fernandez, Deloris Walker, Valerie Earle, Majorie (Joe) Croft and Laverne (Harold) McClain all of Spartanburg, SC; his twelve grandchildren; his eighteen great grandchildren; his three great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces nephews and friends. Felton was preceded in death by a son, Felton 'Pedro' Walker, Jr.; four siblings, Luther Walker, Jr. , Walter Bailey, Earle Bailey, Nelson Bailey and Peggy Reid; three brothers-in-law, Charlie Sims, Paul Fernandez and Nathaniel Earle; his sister-in-law, Alma Walker. A Celebration of the Life of Felton Walker, Sr. will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel, 602 Howard St., Spartanburg, SC. Reverend Allen V. Rector will officiate. Interment will be in the Walker's Chapel Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 370 Cunningham Cir., Woodruff, SC. The family will receive friends at the home of his daughter, Cindy W. Jacobs, 854 Damson Plum Ct., Spartanburg, SC.
