Obituary For Flossie Whiteside

Flossie M. Kelley Whiteside entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Will and Hassie Lindsay Kelley. Mrs. Whiteside was the widow of the late Buford R. Whiteside. She was a member of the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church where she served for many years as a member of the Martha Norris Missionary Circle. Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: her sons, Dr. Louis (Barbara) Whiteside of Inglewood, CA, William Earl Whiteside, and Jerry L. (Joann) Whiteside both of Spartanburg, SC; her daughters, Edna M. (Roy Lee) Tinsley, Elizabeth Singleton, Bertha W. Robinson and Dyanne W. (Thomas) Lyles all of Spartanburg, SC and Gayle A. (Oscar) Neely of Simpsonville, SC; her forty-one grandchildren, Jermaine Eric Whiteside and April Ann Whiteside reared in the home; her fifty-five great grandchildren; her ten great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by one son, Beuford F. Whiteside and three daughters, Helen O. Braggs, Juanita Jenkins and Mable H. Whiteside. A Celebration of the Life of Flossie M. Kelley Whiteside will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. Dr. Louis Whiteside will officiate. Interment will be held in the Lincoln Memorial Gardens, 2310 Cannons Campground Rd., Spartanburg, SC. The family is at the home, 16 Reeves Ct., Spartanburg, SC 29301.
