Frances Miller Peake

Frances Miller Peake went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 in the afternoon at the home of her son. She was the daughter of the late Bobby Lee Miller and Sarah Harris Miller. Mrs. Peake was the widow of Joe Louis Peake.

Mrs. Miller attended Florence Chapel School.

Frances was employed by Bill and Frances Lawson for over twenty years.

She was a member of Lower Shady Grove Baptist Church for many years where she served in the Pastor Ministry Aid and Mass Choir.

She was preceded in death by: three brothers, James Miller, Jimmy Miller and Jimmy Lee Evans; two sisters, Genevieve and Josephine Miller; a great-grandson, Bryson Miller; two sisters-in-law, Linnie Mae Miller and Annie Thelma Miller; and a brother-in-law, Cecil Foster.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: her sons, Bobby Miller, Kerry L. Peake and Joe A. Peake all of Spartanburg, SC, Calvin Peake of Chesapeake, VA and Gerald K. (Karla) Peake of Charlotte, NC; her daughter, Vickey A. Peake of Spartanburg, SC; her sisters, Elizabeth Harris and Mary Foster; her brother, Marshall (Sherrie) Miller of Spartanburg, SC; her fifteen grandchildren; her thirteen great-grandchildren; and sixteen great-great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of the Life of Frances Miller Peake will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Lower Shady Grove Baptist Church,1552 Switzer Green Pond Rd., Woodruff, SC. Rev. Vincent M. Perry and Bishop Cathaye Jones will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
