Mr. David "Frank" Moore was born in Spartanburg County, South Carolina on November 3, 1934, and entered his eternal home on December 4, 2025. He was the husband of Mrs. Mary Frances Burnside Moore and the son of the late Matthew Moore, Sr, and Mrs. Mattie Collins Moore.
He joined the Friendship Baptist Church, Spartanburg, South Carolina at an early age. Mr. Moore "Frank", retired from M. Lowenstein, [later Spring Industries] after more than 30 years of faithful service as a hard worker who was promoted to supervisor during his employment. He also was a member of the Spartan Grain Mills company baseball team.
Mr. Moore was preceded in death by four brothers, Henry Vernon, Matthew Moore, Jr, Howard E. "Ralph" Moore and Raymond Porter.
He leaves to cherish fond memories: one daughter, Shirley Diane (Robert) Burnett of Isle of Wight, Virginia; two sisters, Mrs. Sarah M (late John) Fair, of Spartanburg, South Carolina; Mrs. Alice P (Paul) Moore of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; two grandchildren, Rico Latrell and Alex Jermaine Burnett of Virginia; five greatgrandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was an avid fisherman, and experienced gardener who would share his catches and crops with family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at 12:00 noon at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel, 602 Howard St., Spartanburg, SC. Burial will follow in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.
