CHARLOTTE, NC-- Mr. Fred Butler, 68, of 4300 Wilkerson Blvd., entered into eternal rest January 2, 2012. He was the husband of Mrs. Brenda Neal Butler of Charlotte, NC. Mr. Butler was the son of the late Mr. Caphus Butler and Mrs. Lula Mae Mannigan. He was a native of Spartanburg County.Survivors include one daughter, Denise Harris of Spartanburg, SC; two brothers, Willie J. (Carrie) Butler of Spartanburg, SC, and Charles (Teresa) Butler of Columbia, SC; two sisters, Beatrice (Ervin) Rookard of Spartanburg, SC, and Louise (Arthur) Landrum of Chesnee, SC; one niece reared in the home, Terry Neal of Charlotte, NC; four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Samuel Dean Brewton; and two brothers, Grover and Lewis E. Butler.Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 7, 2012, at 1:00 P.M. at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be held prior to the services from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Foster's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Cherokee Springs, SC.The family will receive friends at the home of his sister, Mrs. Louise (Arthur) Landrum of 217 Hummingbird Lane, Chesnee, SC.J.W.
