Ms. Gladys M. Tucker AKA "Buck", 89, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 7, 2025. Gladys was a native of Spartanburg County. She was the daughter of Willie Fuller and Nettie Sue Holcomb. Ms. Tucker graduated from Lincoln High School, Class of 1956.
Mrs. Tucker was a devoted life-long member of Foster Chapel Baptist Church where she served faithfully as a member of the Usher Board for sixty-eight years.
She was a member of the Roberta Liberty Eastern Star #133, Westside Sympathy Club, Wofford Chapel Society and she served within the Spartanburg County District School and retired from Arrow Automotive after twenty years.
Gladys was a loving and kindhearted-feisty little lady. She was always on the go visiting the sick, doing missionary work, helping family and comforting others during their time of bereavement. She had a spirit and smile that couldn't be replaced. Ms. Tucker loved her family, church and never met a stranger. Gladys loved shopping and was known personally at the Ms. Classy Lady store in Westgate Mall.
Mrs. Tucker was preceded in death by: her husband, Leroy Tucker; her daughter, Jacqueline Tucker; and her grandson, Tremain Elmore.
Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: her son, Vernon Tucker and Richard Tucker both of Spartanburg, SC; her daughters, Theresa Thompson and Gloria Foster of Spartanurg, SC; her sister, Gertrude Draper of SPartanburg, SC; her sister-in-law, Annie Bell Tucker of Spartanburg, SC; her seven grandchildren;l lher twenty-seven great-grandchildren; her great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral Services will be heldon Thursday, May 15, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at Foster Chapel Baptist Church, Roebuck, SC. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Eastern Star Rites will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be held from 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the chapel.
