Gloria Cunningham Moore transitioned to her eternal home on Monday, June 10, 2019. She was the daughter of the late Clyde and Margaret Cunningham. Gloria was the mother of Corley Moore and Kyle Moore.
Mrs. Moore was a member of Silver Hill Memorial United Methodist Church.
Gloria graduated from Laurens District 55 High School, Class of 1977. She furthered her education at South Carolina State University. Mrs. Moore received both her Masters Degree from Converse College in 1987 and her Educational Specialist Degree in 1997.
Gloria was an educator for forty years with Spartanburg School District 7.
Sorors of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. will conduct Final Rites: The Ivy Beyond the Wall at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 14, 2019 at Silver Hill Memorial United Methodist Church, 778 John B. White Sr. Blvd, Spartanburg, SC. The ceremony is closed to the public. Afterwards, the family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m at the same location.
A Celebration of the Life of Gloria Cunningham Moore will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, 445 S. Church St., Spartanburg, SC. Rev. Jerry Louis Gadsden will officiate.
The family will receive friends at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Corley and Dominique Moore, 374 N. Timm Creek Avenue, Roebuck, SC.
