My Grandfather was the best Man I've ever known in my entire life. I've learned so much based on his life experiences that have truly helped me in my own journey of life. My love of family and traveling all come from him and my Grandmother. We have so many great memories together that I'll cherish forever. No more pain, worries or suffering. And don't worry Daddy you hold it down on the high side and I'll keep holding it down on the low side. Rest easy and peacefully Daddy.

Life is the greatest gift that God has given us. Death is only a bridge towards eternal life with GOD certainly HEAVEN is rejoicing for Hezekiah's soul has finally reached his true home. No more mourning, or crying, or pains. As your special friend, i am going to miss all the memories we shared. I will always love you. Mary Starks

Hezekiah and Florence were really good friends of my parents, John and Olivia Mintz. I remember the 4 of them cooking out, taking small trips, and just having fun. For me, the Carters were relationship goals. I pray that the memories of your parents will provide comfort to you in the years to come.

Hezekiah was my father's favorite cousin. Their lives were intertwined from a young age. They both did lengthy military service. They both did a period of time "living the New York City Life," but eventually each settled back at home in South Carolina. As my dad's eldest child, I was fortunate to know my second cousin, Hez. He had an endearing personality and was proud of his Family. When Hez and Dad got together, you would surely laugh at their antics. With age, they spent time sharing memories and admiring their extensive families. They often had spats that made no sense. Regardless of the ups and downs, each showed up when the other needed a hand. Since I live several states away, I always felt blessed to have Cousin Hez to keep me posted about the goings-on. It's a comfort to know that they are together again.

Thank you, Mr.Carter. Nothing but good memories from when I first talked to you back in 1988, rest my friend.
