Obituary For James Boyd

James Earl Boyd, 69, made his transition into eternal life on Thursday, March 31, 2016. He was the son of the late John and Selma Boyd. Mr. Boyd served his country as a United States Marine. Left to cherish loving memories are: his wife, JoAnn Boyd; his four sister, Mary (Leonard) McDowell and Sara Jackson both of Spartanburg, SC, Carrie (John) Rhodes of Rutherfordton, NC and Janet (Melvin) Gaffney of Landrum, SC; his two brothers, Milton Boyd of Bristol, TN and Gary Boyd of Columbia, SC; a special nephew, Frankie (Jeanette) Boyd of Spartanburg, SC; his six stepchildren; his twenty-one step grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Mr. Boyd was preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Boyd and a sister, Ruby Davis. A Celebration of the Life of James Earl Boyd will be held on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel, 602 Howard St., Spartanburg, SC. Dr. Lewis Mills will officiate. Interment will be in the Good Shepherd Cemetery, 51 Jackson St., Tryon, NC.
