James L. Rhodes, Sr. entered into eternal rest on April 13, 2022.

James Lewis was preceded into death by: six brothers, Johnny Rhodes , James "Cat Eye" Ferguson, David Ferguson, L.J. Rogers, Sammy Rogers and David Lyles, Jr.; sister Peggy Ferguson; and two sons, Keith Jones and Barry Jones.

Many fond and loving memories will be cherished by: his wife, Mae Alice Rhodes; his daughters, Margo (late Freddie) Meadows, Jamie Rhodes, Dr. Stephanie Rhodes and Chasity Rhodes; his sons, Danny Jones, James (Erica) Rhodes, Jr., Jerrell Meadows and Ronnie Rhodes; siblings, Dean Ferguson, Lynn Ferguson, Terry Ferguson, Paul Ferguson, Carrie Ferguson, Alberta Goodman, Patricia Geter, Melvin Lyles, Marvin Lyles, Alice Lyles; and his grandchildren, great-grands, a host of other family members and friends.

A Celebration of the Life of James Lewis Rhodes, Sr. will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel, 602 Howard St., Spartanburg, SC.
