JAMES MURPHY JR. WAS BORN ON AUGUST 2, 1943 TO THE LATE ALINE AND JAMES MURPHY SR. HE PEACEFULLY DEPARTED THIS LIFE ON AUGUST 22,2026.
JAMES WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO MINNIE MURPHY FOR 56 YEARS, AND FROM THIS CHERISHED UNION, FOUR CHILDREN WERE BORN. HE WAS A
DEVOTED HUSBAND, FATHER, GRANDFATHER, BROTHER, AND FRIEND WHO TOOK GREAT PRIDE IN HIS FAMILY. JAMES DEDICATED MANY YEARS OF SERVICE TO UPS.
JAMES ENJOYED living life to the fullest. He Especially had passion for cars, travel and most importantly family and friends. HE HAD A WONDERFUL SENSE OF HUMOR AND A WARM, WELCOMING PERSONALITY THAT BROUGHT LAUGHTER AND JOY TO THOSE AROUND HIM.
JAMES WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS PARENTS, ALINE AND JAMES MURPHY SR.; HIS DAUGHTER, KIMBERLY RENEE MURPHY; AND HIS SIBLINGS, JOHN DAVID MURPHY AND BILLY MURPHY.
HE LEAVES TO CHERISH HIS MEMORY HIS LOVING WIFE of 56 years Minnie Murphy; HIS SIBLINGS RAYMOND (MARY), LUCKY (GWEN),MARY ANN JOHNSON (RONALD), BISHOP TOMMY (DORIS, BOBBY (TONYA), LINDA BENSON (STACY); HIS DAUGHTERS, JACKIE (ISAAC MCJIMPSEY), KENDRA MURPHY, AND TAWANNA MURPHY; 10
GRANDCHILDREN, 3 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN; AND A HOST OF BONUS DAUGHTERS, NIECES, NEPHEWS, RELATIVES, AND FRIENDS.
THOUGH HE WILL BE DEEPLY MISSED, THE MEMORIES HE CREATED AND THE LOVE HE SHARED WILL FOREVER REMAIN IN THE HEARTS OF THOSE WHO KNEW AND LOVED HIM.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in the Shiloh Cemetery.
