Uncle James, it is so hard to put into words how deeply heartbroken I am right now. My heart aches knowing that you are no longer here with us, but I will forever hold on to the beautiful memories you gave me. I will always cherish the times you took me Uptown to buy shoes, using me as your excuse to get out of the house with Papa. What may have seemed like simple moments then have become priceless memories that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. I will miss you more than words can ever truly express. I love the laughter, the joy, and all the fun memories we shared, especially the way you knew we were giving you a surprise birthday party and you still kept it a secret from us. That memory makes me smile through my tears, because it reminds me of your spirit and the special way you made moments unforgettable. Whenever I needed to talk or needed a kind ear to listen, you were always there for me. You gave me comfort, wisdom, and words of encouragement when I needed them most. Your love, your kindness, and your presence meant so much to me, and the emptiness left behind is something I will feel for a long time. You will be so deeply missed, Uncle James. Thank you for the love, the memories, the laughter, and the encouragement you gave me. Rest in peace. I love you always. With all my love, your niece, Priscilla.
