Obituary For J.D. Morgan

Pacolet, SC – J.D. Morgan, 91, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 16, 2015. Mr. Morgan was the son of the late Mrs. Lillie Mae Morgan. He was widower of Elizabeth Morgan. Mr. Morgan was a member of Montgomery Chapel Baptist Church. J.D. retired from Pacolet Mills. Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: his son, McArthur (Betty) Glenn of Columbia, SC; his daughter in-law; Mary Kelly Hoey of Pacolet, SC; his brothers, Bobby Morgan of High Point, NC and Paul Morgan of Free Port, LA; his sisters, Mae Morgan and Marvis Huntly both of Pacolet, SC; his five grandchildren; his nine great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and dear friends. A Celebration of the Life of J.D. Morgan will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Montgomery Chapel Baptist Church, 835 Sunny Acres Rd., Pacolet, SC. The Reverend Timothy Mills will officiate. Interment will be held in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home of his nephew, Lee Byars, 161 Gaston St., Pacolet, SC.
