Obituary For Jeannette Dodd

Jeannette Dodd, 79, peacefully entered into eternal rest on October 7, 2019. Mrs. Dodd was the daughter of the late Lucille and Melice Mayes. She was the widow of Junior Nathaniel Dodd.

Jeannette was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church in Chesnee, SC where she served in the C. E. McDowell Choir.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: her daughter, Loretta Dodd; her son, Reese (Rosemary) Dodd; her grandchildren, Tiffany (Dan) and Erica (Jonathan) both reared in the home, Starkesha, Porsha and Kyle; her great-grandchildren, Kado, Dayjha, Kali and James reared in the home, Taevon, Staryana, Madison, Jada, Johnny, Preston, Peyton, Jaiquez, Meyanna and Michael; her brother, Kelvin Mayes; her sisters, Shelia, Linda, Judy and Teresa; her aunts, Lola Linder and Fannie Burgess; her uncles, Ben and Dewitt Young and Haywood and Arthur Mayes; her sisters-in-law, Dottie Gaffney, Daisy (T. C) Lyles and Velma Dodd; her brother-in-law, Billy (Stella) Dodd; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by: her son, Chad; her brothers, Joe, Lyman, Edward and Kenneth; and her sister, Rosemary.

A Celebration of the Life of Jeannette Mayes Dodd will be held on Friday, October 11, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Gethsemane Baptist Church, 238 Richland St., Chesnee, SC. Rev. Ronnie E. Miller will officiate. Burial will be in the Gaffney Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery, Chesnee, SC.
