Obituary For Jessie Simpson

Miami, FL – Jessie Ruth Simpson, 88, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 15, 2015 after a brief illness. Ms. Simpson was the daughter of the late Mrs. Piccola Fernandez and the late Mr. Roy Rhodes. Jessie was a native of Spartanburg, South Carolina. Ms. Simpson was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church until she moved to New York. While in New York she worked at the Bellevue Hospital until her retirement. She later moved to Miami, Florida to be with her daughter and grandchildren. Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: her daughter, Judith G. Walker of Miami, FL; four granddaughters; ten great-grandchildren; seven great great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and dear friends. A Celebration of Life of Jessie Ruth Simpson will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel. Minister Willie E. Hines will officiate. Interment will be held in the Lincoln Memorial Gardens, 2310 Cannons Campground Road, Spartanburg, South Carolina. The family will receive friends at the home of her cousin, Sandra F. Maynes, 1312 Old Anderson Mill Road, Moore, SC.
