Jimmy Murriel, born July 21, 1958, of Spartanburg SC passed away March 20, 2026, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Jimmy was a graduate of Landrum High School in Landrum, SC. After graduating high school, he joined the Army National Guard. He served in the National Guard for 23 years before retiring.
He was the son of the late Charles Murriel and Beatrice Farr Murriel.
He is proceeded in death by three brothers, James Arthur Murriel, Charles Murriel, and Bobby Murriel.
He leaves to cherish fond and loving memories: his wife, Eddie Mae Murriel; two daughters, Jessica Murriel and Savannah Murriel; one son, Justin Murriel; one sister, Lois (Dennis) Gray; five grandchildren, Denorian Campbell, Layla Campbell, Shantoria Murriel, Tangie Murriel, and Nathan O'Sullivan; a niece, Tracy Murriel; two nephews, Brian Murriel and Malcolm Gray; along with a number of cousins, relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, April 12, 2026 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Gramling, 465 Herrle Rd, Campobello, South Carolina 29322.
Burial with full military honors will be held in the the church cemetery.
