Joann Crosby (July 19th, 1949 - August 1st, 2024) was an affectionate, dedicated and hardworking individual who always put the needs of others ahead her own. Born in Fairfield County. Joann worked and retired from Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Joann enjoyed playing bingo, going to flea markets and spending time with her family. Joann will be remembered for her bright smile and loving spirit. Joann’s personality brought warmth and joy to everyone she crossed paths with. She will be dearly missed.
Joann was preceded in death by mother Josephine Crosby, Mable Crosby, Father Lucious Crosby, Sons Patrick Alexander Crosby, Anthony George Crosby, Brothers Ray Reedy and Terry R. Griffith.
She leaves to cherish her memory: son Darius Antonio (Katherine) Crosby, two daughters, Rosalind Foster and Marsha Boyd, 2 granddaughters Courtney (Steven Huey) Crosby of Spartanburg, SC, Brandi Crosby of Chicago, Illinois, 5 great grand kids Taylor Crosby, Khloe Huey, Steven Huey Jr, Kenosia Feaster and Ferosia Feaster of Spartanburg, SC. 6 sisters Nancy Carol Boyd, Linda Ferguson, Deedie Crosby, Tammy Crosby Shelton and Sandy Crosby all of Spartanburg, SC. Willie Mae Coleman of Newberry, SC. 6 brothers Willie James Meredith, Laddie Crosby, Michael Angelo (Charlotte) Crosby all of Spartanburg, SC and Timothy Crosby of Charlotte, North Carolina , Julian (Peggy) Shelton of Newberry, SC. Special cousins Elaine Feaster and Osia Feaster of Spartanburg, SC and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel, 602 Howard St., Sparftanburg,SC. Burial will be in the Heritage Memorial Gardens, Roebuck, SC.
