Obituary For Joe Nash, Jr.

Joe Charles Nash, Jr.

SPARTANBURG, SC- Joe Charles Nash, Jr., 55, born September 5, 1964, went home to be with his Savior on Friday afternoon, June 5, 2020. He was the husband of his devoted wife, Cheryl Nash. Mr. Nash was the son of Joe Charles, Sr. and Ruthie Meadows Nash.

Joe was educated in Spartanburg County District Six; he was a proud 1982 graduate of Paul M. Dorman High School.

Mr. Nash attended Relentless Church in Greenville, SC until his health declined.

He was an avid football fan of his alma mater, the Dorman Cavaliers, as well as the University of Georgia Bulldogs.

Joe was a humble man who loved the Lord with all his heart. To say that he will be missed by many is such an understatement.

In addition to his wife and parents, Joe leaves loving and cherished memories to: his sister, Carolyn Nash of Moore, SC; his brother, Anthony Nash of Roebuck, SC; his niece, Courtney Nash of Roebuck, SC; his nephews, Christian Nash of Spartanburg, SC and Micah Nash of Moore, SC; his mother-in-law, Marilyn

Bradford of Roebuck, SC; his sisters-in-law, Carolyn Ann Scott of Spartanburg, SC and Karen Bradford of Jacksonville, FL; his brother-in-law, Calvin Bradford of Jacksonville, FL; and a host of many other family members, friends and loved ones.

A Celebration of the Life of Joe Charles Nash, Jr. will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at 12:00 noon at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel, 602 Howard St., Spartanburg, SC. Burial will be in the Heritage Memorial Gardens, 3901 S. Church St., Roebuck, SC.

The family will receive friends at his home, 641 McCormick Lane, Lyman, SC and the home of his parents, 140 Happy Lane, Roebuck, SC.

this is Tony Gilliam, i remember when i first got to Dorman i was this shy kid on the football team big brother Joe is what i call him took me under his wings i remember he said u room with me and ever since then Big brother Joe always look after me all throughout school and after school we always has this special bond my heart is so heavy right now im going to miss u big brother Joe Nash

It was indeed a great pleasure to get to know Joe as we served together at Relentless. He was a true friend and I will cherish the memories I have of him. I will miss our talks on the phone. To his family-May God sustain you during this time.
