Joy Caroline Smith Garrett passed June 5, 2021.
She and I graduated from SHS in '82 and from SMC in '84. She was a bridesmaid in my wedding and I was a bridesmaid in her wedding. Joy's beautiful smile was one that could make anyone smile. She had a heart as big as a mountain and a spirit of "Joy. ". Her name befitted her without question. Rest In Peace, my friend. Thank you for your friendship and the joy you brought to many! My prayers are with the entire family. Prayers being lifted for peace and comfort now and in the days to come.

I forgot to add my name to the guest book post above, Mike you are in our thoughts and prayers, keep the strength your mother had to fight this fight. To the Smith families, you are in our thoughts and prayers... LOVE you all Donna M Brown
We started out as childhood friends and you were the sweetest most kind friend growing up! My first most memory was when we chased and played with them pigs on yall's farm...We had so much fun, until we grew up went our separate ways. FB was the place we were able to reunite, to see our lives as adults and I am so thankful for that! You fault a very hard battle and now pain free and in the presence of God, your parents there to meet you at the pearly gates of heaven! I love you so much friend! You are forever in my heart!
Our staff will continue to keep your family in our prayers. We thank you for allowing us to serve your family.
