Kristi O. King departed this life and was called home to be with her lord and
Savior on October 28, 2023. A Native of Spartanburg, SC she was the daughter of
the late Henry Mack and Annie Ruth Robinson and the wife of the late Rev.
Jeffrey F. King. She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
She graduated from Spartanburg High School Class of 1985, then she went on to
pursue her associate degree in medical administration. She married her high school
sweetheart Rev. Jeffrey King on September 2nd, 1989, they were married for 32
years. She was formerly employed by Spartanburg Regional Hospital where she
served for 8 years.
She Loved the lord; she loved being a mom and she loved her family. She loved to
shop, she always said retail therapy was the best medicine. She was a true “Diva”
until the end and was always very fashionable. She was an Active member of
Cornerstone Baptist Church as well as the Elite Day Center of Spartanburg, SC.
Mrs. Kristi King will be remembered for her unshakeable faith in God, her
contagious smile and her fighting spirit, and having the biggest heart. She was a
virtuous woman, and she loved her lord and savior Jesus Christ.
Mrs. King leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter Jessika A. King of
Spartanburg SC. Four sisters, Nancy Steadman, Oreatha Cannon, of Spartanburg
SC. Madeline Hale and Linda Petty of Chattanooga, TN; one brother- in- law Jerry
King, of Spartanburg, SC. One brother, Henry Robinson, Jr. of Chattanooga, TN a
special niece, Psyche (Rodney)Tidwell and several other nieces and nephews, great
nieces and nephews, other relatives and special friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at 1:00 p. m. at Cornerstone Baptist Church, Spartanburg, SC. Burial will be in the Heriatge Memorial Gardens, Roebuck, SC.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 13, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel, 602 Howard St., Spartanburg, SC.
