Miss LaKasha Dennise “Kot” Woodruff was born on July 28, 1989 in Bamberg, Germany. She departed this world October 24, 2019 at home. LaKasha was the first born to Richard A Woodruff and Walda C Woodward-Woodruff. She resided in Spartanburg County .
LaKasha attended Byrnes High School and later graduated from Dorman High School, Class of 2007. She attended Spartanburg Community College.
She was employed by Subway on Reidville Road.
“Kot” was a very loving young lady that enjoyed everything in life. She loved children, cooking and having fun with her family. LaKasha was very family oriented.
She was preceded in death by: her maternal grandfather, Walter Woodward; her paternal grandfather, Robert Woodruff; her uncles, Wille Woodward and William Woodruff; and one aunt, Patricia Woodruff.
LaKasha is survived by: her sisters, Chelsea Woodruff and Cadence Dawkins; her three brothers, McKenzie Woodruff, Zyon Pitts and Aiden May; her nephew, Addarren Woodruff; her niece, Zariyah Woodruff; her maternal grandmother, Eleanor Woodward; her paternal grandmother, Mary C. Woodruff; her aunts, Shena Gentry, Carol Farris (Elbert), Doris Fowler (Reginald), Shirley Smith, Mary Woodruff, Henrietta Woodward, Anzer Woodward and Bessie Davis; her uncles, Williams J. Woodruff and Ryan Copeland; her special friend, Tywon Jones; and a host of cousins.
A Celebration of the Life of Lakasha Dennise Woodruff will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel, 602 Howard St., Spartanburg, SC. Rev. Ron Henderson will officiate.
The family will receive friends at the home of Mary Woodruff, 315 Wheeler Ct., Spartanburg, SC.
