Leo Ellis, Sr., 80, of 109 Wrightson Ave., peacefully entered rest on January 21, 2022 at his home. He was a native of Spartanburg, SC. Mr. Ellis was the son of the late Perry and Naomi Ellis.
Leo was of Baptist Faith.
He was employed with Leigh Fibers for forty years.
Mr. Ellis was preceded in death by: his daughter, Sandra Lee Ellis; his sister, Peggy Ann Ellis; his four brothers, Lloyd Ellis, Morris "Noonie" Ellis, James Ellis and Willie Earl Ellis all of Spartanburg, SC.
Left to cherish fond and loving memories: his beloved wife of sixty-one years, Susie M. Ellis; his son, Leo Ellis, Jr.; his three daughters, Virginia Duncans, Annette Ellis and Phillis Jones all of Spartanburg, SC; his brothers, Bobby Ellis of Wellford; his seven grandchildren, Ebony (Trey) Gray, Demetria (Anthony) Miller, Leo Ellis, III, Nadia Duncans, Bobby, Corey and Nikki Jones all of Spartanburg, SC; and his great-grandchildren, Amani and Ayden Miller both reared in the home, Zuri, Zayla, Legend and Trynia all of Spartanburg, SC.
Services will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at New Faith International Church, 13 Ark Main St., Spartanburg, SC. Burial will be in the Lincoln Memorial Gardens, 2256 Cannons Campground Rd., Drayton, SC.
The family is receiving friends at the home.
