Obituary For Lillie Gentry

Mrs. Lillie Gentry entered into eternal rest on January 18, 2017. A native of Spartanburg County, she was the widow of the late Mr. Thomas Gentry, Sr. She was the daughter of the late Will Lowrance and Evelyne Carson Lowrance. She attended Spartanburg County School System. At an early age, she joined Holden Chapel Baptist Church. She retired from Spartanburg County School District Seven after over 25 years of service. Left to cherish fond and loving memories: five sons, Johnny Gentry of Spartanburg, SC, Thomas Gentry, Jr. (Christine) of Spartanburg, SC, Robert Gentry of Cowpens, SC, Ronnie Gentry of the home, and Michael Gentry of Spartanburg, SC; one daughter, Martha Landrum of the home; one sister, Madie Lyles of Spartanburg, SC; thirty-nine grandchildren; seventy-one great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by two sons, Howard Dean Gentry, Lonnie Ray Gentry, and one daughter, Teresa Lisa Gentry. The family is at the home of granddaughter, Latonya Byrd, 3059 Huntington Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29302. A Celebration of the Life of Mrs. Lillie Lowrance Gentry will be held Friday, January 27, 2017 at 1:00 PM at The Worship Center. Pastor Sharome Gentry will officiate. Interment will be in Good Shepherd Memorial Park, Boiling Springs, SC.
