Obituary For Lois Harris

Spartanburg, SC – Lois Harris peacefully entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 24, 2015. Mrs. Harris was the daughter of the late Violet Bobo Porter Penson and guardians, Henry Bobo and Lula Bobo. She was the widow of Willie Howard Harris. Mrs. Harris was a member of Greater St. James Temple in Inman, SC. Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: her children, Lizzie (Grover) Lee Harris, Esther (JT) Williams, Howard (Loretta) Jr., Lois Ann (Richard) Irby, Ella Ruth (Roger) Miller, Eddie Mae (Jimmie) Murriel and Violet Teresa Harris; her brother, Daniel Porter of Greensboro, NC; her sisters, Betty Ruth Miller and Louise Miller both of Spartanburg, SC; three sisters-in-law, eighteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other dear relatives and many friends. Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by: her husband; her brothers, Harry, Raymond and Eugene Porter; and her sister, Elese Edward. A Celebration of the Life of Lois Harris will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Greater St. James Temple, 13255 Asheville Hwy., Inman, SC. Pastor James R. Landrum will officiate. Interment will be held at Upper Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 1580 John Dodd Rd, Spartanburg, SC.
